About Owen & Nonna Terra

I am Owen Marciano, a fat, white, queer, and genderqueer artist and Tarot reader with multiple disabilities. I started Nonna Terra (“Grandmother Earth” in Italian, which is where my ancestors came from) so I could focus on healing the wounds I carry from a childhood rampant with physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Through Nonna Terra I offer spiritual guidance and support to other survivors, artists, healers, activists, change-makers, thinkers, feelers, and rabble-rousers of all stripes.

Through personal Tarot readings, I hope to support you in clarifying your individual role and responsibilities in our shared work of caring for one another and our planet, our only home. When you come in for a Tarot reading, you can trust that the advice and wisdom offered will benefit you personally and the whole world collectively, all at the same time.

Prozia Rosmarina

My primary guide is the spirit of the rosemary plant, who I refer to as Prozia Rosmarina (“Great Aunt Rosemary”). She comes to me in my mind’s eye as an elder transwoman and identifies herself to me as a Wild Elder - a still-living ancestor, as all plants, animals, bodies of water, land formations, and cosmic bodies are to us humans.

The Land

I was born in a western suburb of Rochester, NY, on the homelands of the Haudenosaunee peoples, specifically the Onondowa’ga (Seneca) people. I grew up surrounded by Ash and Pine trees. I currently live within Dakota and Anishinaabe people’s ancestral lands, in Minneapolis, MN.
